Hello, I’m Helen, AKA The Lite Backpacker – an Australian with an English accent (thanks to having one English parent) on the 30 side of my 20s. Like so many Australians, at 18 I packed up my backpack and headed to Europe, flittering from museum to bar for nearly a year. When I came home I thought I had gotten the “travel bug” out of my system as well as putting on an unhealthy amount of “backpacking weight”.
